Response to Corona Virus: March 2020

New Orleans news from Royal Carriages Tours

Posted by on March 15, 2020

Royal Carriages cares deeply about your health, wellness, and safety. We’re in unnerving times, and we want to express our appreciation to our always thoughtful community as we work together to safely navigate the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

We know from many of you that getting away is often an important respite in the most stressful of times - whether during an intense period of work, school, or something else. If you're willing, well, and comfortable, we want you to know that we are here for you and welcome you to join us in the City of New Orleans whether you are a Native New Orleanian or seeing our city for the first time, and experience the simple joys of exploring our city.

Here are some of the things we are doing in response to the coronavirus:

  • We have intensified cleaning procedures to ensure our carriages are more deeply disinfected to prevent germs from spreading and to ensure your safety.
  • We are closely monitoring the guidance of local health officials and the CDC for our area. We are following all the recommendations to provide for our guest’s safety and comfort on our tours.
  • Given the uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus, we are forgoing our standard all sales final policy.  If you have a reservation and feel sick or otherwise do not feel up to joining us, please reach out to us 48 hours prior to your reservation and we will provide you with a  full refund and hope you can join for some fun in the future.

Until then please stay healthy and safe!

Had a great tour around the quarter, passing various historical ghostly places, with lots of good stories by our driver, Rich. He was great, very informative and congenial, with a great sense of humor. We even changed the time of our ride earlier that day, and Royal Carriages was more than happy to accommodate our request. A little chilly that night, bur plenty of blankets to keep warm. Highly recommend Royal Carriages for any tour that they do.
