I am a local and had friends in from Arizona. In our climate walking in the Quarter in the heat of summer can be difficult. Their time here was limited so I decided to book the private 1-hour carriage ride. Very good choice! So glad we did. Our guide Thiebaud was knowledgeable and funny. We also chatted with another driver while waiting to be picked up. She was very helpful and you could tell she really loved her mule. The mules are cleaned and well cared for. They give them snacks, water, and breaks. Our mule was Blue and he liked carrots. I am a New Orleanean and I learned a few things and was reminded of some I forgot! We did the Quarter and The area around Frenchmen Street. Afterward, we ate lunch at Antoine's. It was a wonderful day I won't soon forget! A splurge but well worth every penny. Thanks, guys!
