Temporarily Closing Operations: A message on 3/19/2020

New Orleans news from Royal Carriages Tours

Posted by on March 19, 2020

It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to temporarily close the operation of tours beginning March 19th, 2020, and will reopen July 3th, 2020.

This is in keeping with the declaration by Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards regarding containment of Covid19 – the Corona Virus. It is determined to be in the best interest of our guests and our employees.

Please check back with us for updates.

If you are scheduled between now and July 3rd, 2020 and would like to reschedule, please contact us at [email protected]

All of the mules and team members cannot wait to see you when we resume operations. In the meantime please support your local businesses and buy gift cards.

Sincerely,

Royal Carriages Management

Mark and his sweet horse, Elizabeth treated us to a close-up and very informative tour of the French Quarter, including the oldest cemetery in New Orleans. We saw, in an open carriage which allowed for a full view, the grandest and most interesting sights of the French Quarter, learning interesting history and facts of the area as we rode through the streets. Mark gave us a very interesting tour of the oldest cemetery, adding interesting and curious stories about some of the famous people who are interred there and how the cemetery is run. His added humor made this a very fun tour! This was one of the highlights of our visit to New Orleans
